Graphic + Web Design FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions people most often ask before they begin.
Every project is quoted to its brief, but as a guide: logo design runs from $900 to $2,500, brand development from $2,500 to $20,000, a Squarespace or Shopify website from $4,000 to $15,000, and a custom website or app from $20,000 to $250,000, all plus GST. Packaging and graphic design are scoped to the brief.
There’s more detail on the Pricing page.
Smaller graphic design jobs usually take a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on size and notice. For brand identity, allow three to five weeks so the strategy and creative work get the attention they need. A complete website design and build typically runs eight to eighteen weeks.
Your timeframe is discussed and agreed before work starts, so there are no surprises.
Yes. TL Design Co. is Taryn Langlois, and you’ll work with her from the first conversation through to delivery. For custom website development she collaborates with Ben Smith of Websmith Studio, and for longer-form copywriting she briefs specialist writers she trusts.
The studio is in Bayswater, Perth. Taryn works with founders and businesses across Western Australia, around Australia and internationally.
Every project begins with a brief: a proper conversation about your business, your audience and what you want to achieve. Send an enquiry or call, and once the brief is clear you’ll receive an estimate. It’s valid for 30 days, and work begins once you’ve approved it in writing.
A 50% deposit may be requested when a project begins, with the balance due on completion or on delivery of printed work. Invoices are due within seven days. The full terms are on the Project Acceptance page.
Feedback is part of the process. You’ll review the work as it develops, and larger projects are signed off in stages. Content you supply at the start is treated as final, so changes to it after work begins are charged at the hourly rate ($150 + GST).
Copyright in the finished work stays with TL Design Co. until the project is paid in full. Where several design options are presented, the ones you don’t choose remain with TL Design Co. The details are on the Project Acceptance page.
I build on Squarespace, Shopify, and custom platforms. For Squarespace and Shopify, I design and build the site directly — a considered, well-crafted result without the custom-build price tag.
For fully custom websites and apps, I work with Websmith Studio or a developer of your choice. Custom builds use modern frameworks like Astro and Next.js with Sanity as the content management system — which means your site is fast, flexible, and easy for you to update once it’s built.
Yes. I offer one-on-one website training in Sanity, WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify and Astro, tailored to your site and skill level. A one-hour session covers the basics; two hours for an online store. In-person across Perth or remote via screen share.
Yes. Taryn can manage printing for you, whether it’s digital, offset or large format. For signage and displays she supplies print-ready artwork built to your fabricator’s specifications.
Your copy as a Word or Excel document, images in high resolution (300dpi TIFF or JPEG), and logos, diagrams and maps as vector files (AI or EPS). If you don’t have these, extra time may be needed to prepare them. Not sure what you have? Ask, and Taryn will talk you through it.
